Meet Andrew

Photographer.
Digital artist.
Visual storyteller.

Hi, friend! I'm Andrew Brunson (he/him). I'm so excited that you're here! Just like I'm dying to get to know you, I'm also ecstatic for you to get to know me a little bit too.

I genuinely never pictured (hehe) that picking up a camera for fun in 2013 would put me in the position of photographing weddings, seniors, and everything in between full-time, but it truly makes perfect sense for me. My heart speaks to the world through art of all kinds. I've been drawing, painting, and baking ever since I can remember, and if I'm not creating something or admiring some form of art at all times, I'm not thriving! Amidst all of the different types of art out there, though, photography has been my passion since I discovered it. Nothing fulfills me more than documenting the beauty of this planet and the people & stories that reside on it.

I have an obsession with both jewelry & fragrances

I also digitally paint
(sometimes)

If I could travel every
single day, I would

Diamond & gold jewelry make me giddy. Like seriously–I could stare at it all day. Earrings and ear cuffs are where it's at for me, but I love it all. I plan to eventually have an entire ear stack up my right ear and a few cartilage piercings on my left ear as well! If you haven't picked up on it yet, too, my favorite diamond shape is an emerald cut! It's just *chef's kiss.*

Fragrances are #2 on the list of material things that never fail to excite me. My collection is currently numbered at 13 and continues to grow. Although I don't think I could ever pick just 1 favorite, I would say my top 5 are Grand Soir & Oud Satin Mood both by MFK, Layton by PDM, Naxos by Xerjoff, and Tobacco Vanille by Tom Ford. What are your faves?

When I'm not at a beautiful venue documenting a spectacular wedding day or wading through tall grass capturing a senior session, you might find me working on a digital portrait painting!

Just last year, I spent about 250 hours painting a portrait of my partner Blaine and I to gift to him for Christmas! I worked on it off-and-on while he wasn't around (which was just as difficult as the painting itself...). The whole piece took about 250 hours, and you can see it here! Although I don't currently take commissions due to my busy schedule, I still absolutely love doing it occasionally for fun.

As cliche as it is, traveling is one of my absolute favorite things to do. Like...I would give up both of my kidneys, all of the jewelry & fragrances that I love so much, and probably even trade Blaine in (fair trade I think) if I could constantly be on the move to somewhere new.

Mountains especially have my heart. The Rockies to be specific. I seriously wish every session and wedding could be in some sort of mountainous setting. In fact, we plan to move to Colorado within the next few years so I can do just that. So if you catch me walking around Denver in about 5 years, feel free to say hi!
